what we do
Our Mission
To help & support men of all ages in the local community & surrounding area, to improve their health & well-being through listening and offering advice, creating a support network that can connect with similar groups & charities so that men no longer feel isolated or have their mental health adversely affected.
BREAK THE STIGMA
about us
Building Resilience for Life's Challenges
We formed our support group in August 2023, concerned about the increase in suicides taking place in Moray, having recently lost friends to suicide.
Initially we begun the group on Facebook, to open an avenue for men to be able to talk privately and anonymously should they wish and share their concerns worries.
OUR VALUES
The Foundation of Our Community
Connect with Local Groups
We aim to build links with mental health groups across Moray, Grampian and the Highlands to share ideas.
Collaborate with Charities
We’ll continue working with amazing charities like Men United, SAMH, and Mikeysline to strengthen our impact.
Mental Health Awareness
We’re focused on breaking the stigma around men’s mental health through awareness, openness and support.
Hold Local Events
We plan to run regular events across Moray to connect with our community and reach more men in need.
Create Website & App
We’re developing an online hub to signpost people to the right help, support services, and local activities.
Offer Ongoing Support
Through our digital tools and local links, we’ll provide ongoing mental health info, help and signposting.
Our Growth
The Path of Our Expansion Since 2023
We’re a growing peer-support group with over 940 members from 10 towns across Moray, meeting biweekly in Elgin and connecting daily through our interactive Facebook community. We run Drop-In Sessions, Walk & Talks, and activities like sea dips and bowling. Now a constituted group, we’re led by an elected committee.

Supporting Men’s Health
Fundraising & Promoting Our Group
We were honoured to receive £2,000 in funding from Moray TSI last year, which helped us establish a strong local presence through regular Drop-In sessions, printed materials, and local radio promotion. We’ve distributed business cards and leaflets, placed banners around Moray, and begun planning newspaper adverts. Looking ahead, we aim to secure more funding to train members, expand services across towns, create digital support platforms, and help men in crisis. Our vision is to unite like-minded groups, provide real support, and ultimately break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
